Pre-Peel Instructions
✦ Advise clients to stop using retinoids, AHA/BHA exfoliants, scrubs, or waxing at least 5–7 days before treatment
✦ Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 1 week before the peel
✦ Perform a patch test 24-72 hours prior to treatment
✦ Do not perform the peel on broken, irritated, sunburned or infected skin
Peel Procedure
✦ Cleanse skin thoroughly with an oil-free, gentle cleanser
✦ Degrease skin using an alcohol pad or pre-peel solution
✦ Protect sensitive areas (eye corners, lips) with petroleum jelly if needed
✦ Apply an even layer of the 25% Lactic Acid Peel using a fan brush or gauze
✦ Leave on for 2–5 minutes, observing skin closely for erythema (redness)
✦ Neutralize completely with a neutralizing solution & remove with cool water
✦ Apply a calming mask, post-peel serum, moisturizer & SPF 30+ before the client leaves
Post-Peel Care
✦ Expect mild redness, tingling & light peeling for 2–5 days
✦ Use only mild, hydrating cleansers & rich moisturizers
✦ Avoid exfoliating products, retinoids or strong actives until peeling subsides
✦ Never pick or peel flaking skin – allow natural shedding
✦ Strictly avoid sun exposure; use broad-spectrum SPF daily
✦ Schedule follow-up peels 2–4 weeks apart, as part of a series
